General Terms and Conditions (T&C)

For the submission of wines for analysis and award according to the principles of Wein und Gesundheit (W&G) and for the use of the W&G quality seal.

The mission of W&G

To determine the content of polyphenols, flavonoids and other health-promoting ingredients in wine through state-certified analysis.
To award wines with a quality seal according to the content of these ingredients.

Submission process

Winemakers, wineries, wine merchants and private individuals can submit wines for analysis and award according to the W&G criteria:

Submission via the form at wein-gesund.at/submission.
After submission you receive a confirmation and an invoice for €150 per sample.
After payment, send 6 bottles per sample (in a 6-bottle carton) to:
ÖWI Handels-GmbH, Josef-Hafner-Straße 4, A-2100 Korneuburg, Austria — keyword: W&G.
You will be informed in writing about the analysis and evaluation result.

The W&G quality seal

The W&G quality seal is awarded in three levels (1, 2 or 3 points) depending on the amount of polyphenols, flavonoids and other health-promoting ingredients.

You can purchase the corresponding self-adhesive W&G quality seal in the quantity stated in your submission.

The use of the W&G quality seal for wines that have not been subjected to W&G analysis is not permitted.
